Happiness

Interesting definition, but not always a true one. There are people who have lived happier lives under heart rending conditions, than others who seemingly have attained all they could desire.
Sometimes, you just have to decide to be happy. No matter what.

Gratitude and service to others are awesome ways to find out happiness! I know, that when I am at my lowest point, doing for others is the best way I've found to forget my own worries and lift my heart.

We are so blessed in this country. Almost a little to blessed.  We have so much. Often more than enough!  Simplification can be key to a happier life.

Have you ever heard it said, if you can't be it, fake it?  It is often true! Sing a happy song and you feel better. Put a smile on your face and, pretty soon, people are smiling back at you and that "fake" smile is suddenly authentic.

Studies show that those of us who are married tend to be the happiest.  I think, though, that this is only true of couples who truly understand the meaning of marriage. It's so much more than a piece of paper. It means loving someone as much or more than you love yourself.  So many people don't seem to understand that these days.

I am a moody person. I always have been. That is probably never going to change. BUT I am making an effort to be positive and to be happy. I am trying to look on the bright side....not always easy. Heck! Not always do-able, but I am trying and I think it's making a difference in my life.

Positive thinking works.  Go back and read Norman Vincent Peale's works again (or for the first time). You will be amazed at the results if you practice what he preached!

                                                      All good ideas, worth considering....
